Case Study: Dighton Power Project

Located in Dighton, Massachusetts, this 200 MW combined cycle plant was placed into commercial operation in 1999

To meet cold weather, low noise and other considerations, this plant features an ACC system comprised of 8 cells. Due to a very constricted site, a uniqe ducting system from the turbine building to the ACC was used.

This design met or exceeded the following criteria:

  • plot constraints
  • low profile
  • cold weather/freeze protection
  • low noise level
  • 7 ppb oxygen content level (deaeration required)
  • elevated steam duct to accommodate plant access road between ACC and turbine building
  • turnkey supply and installation done by GEA
